Anna Moses (Sept. 7th, 1860 - Dec. 13th, 1961) - Popularly known as “Grandma Moses”. She began painting at the age of 78 and went on to become a well known folk artist. Her paintings were reproduced on this bark cloth fabric during the 1950’s. Her fabric sells for high prices today and her work has been shown in galleries all over.
